When you cover yourself with all sorts of problems

When you cover yourself with all sorts of problems and your life becomes a field of weeds, oh where do flowers grow?  To grow tall and strong in such a field, flowers must first grow in your heart.  In other words, you must feel a deserving, a kind welcome that inaugurates the reciprocation of love from all of life.

Oh Shams, I have such a busy schedule!

I ask you, what does that mean?  Too busy to put loving yourself first?  I hear you think and affirm: God and I are one.  Is not loving yourself loving God?  And truthfully, God cares not if the field is rife with weeds.  That there is anything growing at all is what God sees.  So what for weeds!

Put all of your flowers in one field, all of your eggs in one basket and what have you?  Limited vision, surrounded most likely with a cloud of hope that grows denser by the hour.  So, clear a space if that you must, and invite God, invite the child of the inner sanctum, your wounded one, to come and plant, to soak in the light of the warming sun, to cast seeds of deserving and worthiness far and wide.  There is room for everything to grow and more.
