What does it mean to be brave? How does one justify an act of bravery? There are armies of humans that were brave and died, and there are the brave that lived and yet died.
What is
bravery? Is it strength? Commitment?
Action? All of these things and
more? If bravery is the light, immersing
oneself in it to such a degree that there is no fear, oh, evil might exist on
the periphery of such a light, but that light cuts and that light purifies and
the brave become that light. And such a
light goes with that soul to the grave.
There is
another way to be brave, it is called neutrality. When all else would demand the soul take
position one way or another, remaining neutral becomes the badge of courage,
becomes the poise. Sometimes we must
rise and spirit becomes us so magnificently that we are deaf and blind and dumb
to all else but maintaining love.
