Remember something, my children, my beloveds

Remember something, my children, my beloveds, that in this time, your times of instant everythings there are waves that would wash you under, and the only way to avoid drowning is to raise yourself and stay raised above them.

Do not meet the bull head on.  It is foolhardy and it is the biggest mistake you could make.  A world within a world, a circle within a circle; insulate yourself.  It does not mean divorcing oneself from life.  It means loving and honoring and respecting one’s sovereignty of recognizing God deep within, above all else.  And it means having such a place to have fun, to know joy; not toil and suffering but simple joy.

There are so many things that you can do to bring your love and light into the world.  Try some, you might like it.
Be happy,
Shams

There are no expectations you must meet

There are no expectations you must meet.  Hear me.  None.  This is a new time, it is a new day, it is a new chance.  Take it.  Run with it.  Dance with it.  Celebrate it.  Bring your joy to the table of God and share, share.  Share who you are.  Do not hide.  That is what the past does; it provides the cave.  You were not born to live in a cave.  You stay out here with me in the sunlight and we'll dance.

Each of you, the path is new.  The ground is soft.  This thing called life, it is all yours.  You created it.  Yes!  So, recreate it in your image, in your loving likeness.  Do not take another's conception of life above your own.  Go forward with strength and purpose and dignity.  Go into life and share that with others who hunger as much as you do for heaven on earth.  You will not find it on earth, but you will find it within.

How can one remember what one has not forgotten?

How can one remember what one has not forgotten?  Joy.  It is not something outside of your mind.  It is our creation.  We must, as a practice living and thriving, make this journey daily.  We must flow back to God; or if you have discovered, in to God.  There is no amount of fear or pain or suffering or despondency that can keep us from our home.

You are so loved.  Can you feel that?  You can have this where you are if you just remember it.  In the times that try the soul, come here.  I will remind you and God will enfold you, and you shall not want for any good thing.  You shall be loved into health, into peace, into the truth of wholeness again and again.  You are the brave of the brave, and you make the journey that leads back to you.  So precious you are.

The act of being is the act of joy

The act of being is the act of joy.  Is it so much to understand that our loving creator is completely joy in all aspects, at all times, in all moods?  So, when comes the awakening?  When you are still.  When you are focused not on what you do not love or apparently do not have.  When you are simply enjoying who you are and doing the things that bring you that simple joy.

Elegance, so infrequent in your world

Elegance, so infrequent in your world.  When love becomes the heart that grows into who you are, you enter the world of elegance.  Subtle, fine, gossamer.  One immense and gentle meditation of God.  So elegant.

So much joy awaits you.  Begin it now, that you might be better prepared for then.

There is nothing you cannot do

There is nothing you cannot do.  Prove not to the world, but to yourself.  Do not disguise love with work.  That you accept the hint of joy is to your highest good.

Why do we as a people ostracize joy?

Why do we as a people ostracize joy?  Why do we reject the overt, infinite, comforting love that is and emanates from the one?  Who stood before me, who stands within me as within thee?

Before I came to the base of the mount, before I laid my hand on your back, offered you comfort and friendship, before the oceans turned blue, before the stars whispered of hope, there was one that was in my place.  Who was this one?

You shall not cast your jewels into the abyss.  And you shall not give your gifts to the darkness.  You stand now with me and with those greater still.  Can you, my children, feel the many hands upon your back?

There is a way to God if that is what you are seeking

There is a way to God if that is what you are seeking, and that is very simple: it is to joy.  Joy.  I don’t know that it is in your dictionary anymore.  Joy.  But with you it is in your heart.  It is something you cannot disavow because you come from joy and so do I.

You must discover and ascertain in your life what it is that makes you happy.  Do not work yourself to death, nor worry yourself to ill health.  Just try to love yourself.

I waited 62 years to find love in the eyes of soul wearing a human body.  Not a long time, really.  But I knew then that everything of which I had preached could be embodied in one expression of God the Almighty, and that was Rumi, and it still is.

So for all of you, go and find your listener, find your Rumi.  But the way to find your Rumi is to be as succinct, as strong, as noble, as wild and as crazy as you can.  Let yourself be you and stop being somebody else.  God wants you to be you, which is why you are the you that you are.  And if you don’t know who you are, this is a good time to discover just that.
With much love,
Shams

Below the ice, there is flow underneath

Below the ice, there is flow underneath.  Could that not be the metaphor for your lives?  The tiredness, the appearance of approaching illness, the aches and pains, the imperfections: the ice of your life.  Yet beneath it flows your dreams and desires, emanates the warmth of God.  Ice occurs when change befalls a life, and ice is not forever.  Eventually it warms and flows to nourish the new growth of spring.

You might ask, oh Rumi, but could we not all do without so much ice?  You would grow bored and complain of the constant heat and warmth supposed perfection provides.  If you seek such perfection you’d best move on to someplace else to find it because it is not here.  What is here is the joy of the quest for such a thing.  It is all in the trying and wanting to.

There is only joy here

There is only joy here.  Can you feel it?  Can you let that seep into your veins of creativity and build a new and vibrant heart that feeds your dreams?  Oh if you can, then we will have something to discuss!

I have not stopped dancing.  I will take each of you and give you etheric blisters if I must.  There is only one way to the heart of God, my beloveds, and it is through joy; simple, simple joy.

I send you a blessing for this new year of life, that we go hand in hand, and that you ask me to help.  Have I ever mentioned that I never fail?

Eternally, I AM Shams

If you want to know God

If you want to know God, do not consider yourself knowing God until you feel the ocean and the breeze blows your hair, and a tear falls from your eye simply because you’ve seen the sunrise and you know what real birth is like.  That is knowing God.  What is God?  We search, and in that search we have accepted we do not know – or perhaps we are separate from.  Where does God hide?  Where does God live? Nowhere and in all places.
Beloveds, listen to us if you would.  You cannot find God searching for God.  What you can find are many experiences of almost.  To find God find what moves your soul.  Journey into it deeply.  Forget the world.  Fill your moments with your love of what you love.  There, is God.  Can you see the futility of living a life of dreams from the past?  Everything is before us, waiting like great fruits on the tree of life, waiting to be picked.  What type do you like?  How high can you reach?  Are you willing to climb?  Is there but one tree?
Imagination plays such an integral and important part in our joy.  There is a goodness and a light and a frequency and a music and a melody and a world that is being offered every single soul, every manifestation of life on this earth.  You have so much to give.  Give to yourselves.  Love yourselves.  Create a life of simple pleasures and joys and let God fill in the spaces.  Yes, God will give you what you ask for.  Are you soul enough to take it?

Expand not in comfort, rather in joy

Expand not in comfort, rather in joy.  Suppress nothing.  Would you measure your steps to save a life, a drowning child?  No.  You would throw your heart and mind and body into saving a human life.  So why, beloved, do you insist on measuring your steps to happiness, to love, to God?  A loving soul calls for help, for assistance… your beatific soul.  So why do you consistently tarry and repeatedly request the soul to “wait” or hold on just a bit longer?

Every moment is a quality opportunity waiting to be filled with God, with love, joy, happiness, poise and peace.  No one will fill the spaces, the infamous void, but you, and do not delude yourself otherwise.  Love yourself enough to choose joy over sadness, courage over denial, poise over reaction.  Be true to your innermost truth and demand its opposite vacate your thoughts.

Courage, beloved, thou art not alone.  We applaud your every intention towards self-love, into the knowingness of self-realization.  Be strong.  Be unfazed by dramatic situations, remain steadfast towards your most precious of goals: embracing the Godhood in all with whom you come in contact, in everyone everywhere at all times, in all creatures great and small.
Be so blessed, you are so deserving.  Accept it in the name and likeness of the infinite Beloved.  Learn to receive with grace. Be loved.

If I could not find joy

If I could not find joy, levity, happiness in everything I see, every molecule, atom, quark, black hole, twinkle on the tooth of a smile, then be I would not.  But, I am.  And so I do.
Unwaveringly I seek the prism of every soul.  Breathtaking, treasured one.  Simply majestic.  I live in the pure fractures of light every soul-prism exudes, and dance my lifetimes away celebrating the light emerging while mocking the illusion of darkness.  Seriousness does not exist in my world; nor in yours, beloved and shy dancer.  Ah yes!  Caught you there, did I not?  I catch them all.
It is nothing, and from this nothing bubbles a spring of magnificent light, heaven-high, that rids the empty soul of seriousness.  Be gone, rest in peace, all is forgiven.
Dance with me, eh child?  And I’ll show you the time of your life.  It is easy… like this…

Settle for less than joy I shall not!  Never!  Come, dance with me… if you dare!
Are you smiling?
